Night out...

So we went to Rainforest Cafe eventhough Mik didn't like it. Millie, Mandi, me and Ashley got a picture with the parrot!! Marilyn and Mik just got caught off guard by my camera. Mik paid for the evening so that was amazing. We had a great time and were stuffed!!

First Day of Spring!

Got to love the deer and how much they could care less about contact with humans up here in the north woods.

22 March, already...

Well... Spring Break was here and now gone. I worked through Monday then went home to my parents. Made up a drill Wed.&Thurs. at the St.Paul hanger, worked my butt off fueling Blackhawks and Chinooks. First time in my military career I actually did my job!! AMAZING! Went to dinner with friends Wednesday night and it decided to snow like crazy in the cities which made driving terrible. Got home Thursday night and hung out with the fam. 'til Monday morning when I came back to college. I got new glasses... took pictures of the first day of spring and... Talked to Joe almost everyday which has been nice since he's in Iraq now. It's makes it so much different from him being here and not seeing him. I just want him back in the states!!! Just like everyone else whom has a loved one over there. All my buddies that were down south in Camp Shelby Mississippi should have left by now too. 3yrs... can you believe it? I remember being in basic training listening to Pres. Bush declare war over the loud speaker, just about everyone of us questioned ourselves that night of why we joined. I still do from time to time, but am proud of my decision. other than that I got nothing else at this time, have a great day!!

Who unleashed Spring?

With a high of 56 degrees Minnesota had now become the land of 20,000 lakes and many more rivers. People do not forget your canoes and life jackets. Also impending snow from trees has been reported to knock people in the face causing them to lose balance and fall into the rivers. So you may need a helmet. The sweltering heat is just no match for students going to and from class. Beware to all and Good Luck!

Team Got Game

So the intramural hockey team that Kris and I were suppose to be on together is up 5-0!! I played one regular season game and one play off game. Last night was our first playoff game and I didn't get there til second half but I got a break away on my first shift, shot, didn't score and fell to my butt. It was very exciting because as most of you know I played Goalie my entire hockey career and now am a forward or defense. We have a game on Sunday at 1830 and then if we win we play at 2130. I will not be at either due to Guards drill weekend but I hope the guys bring us to victory!!
