Hello~ sorry it's been a few days since I have been active. Nothing new is going on. We were suppose to start our mission, finally, yesterday and to no avail we are still on stand by today.
We are completely out of cold water. It's so hot here now that the cold water can't stay cool so our showers are always warm/hot.
It's been averaging 105 by morning and maybe 90 at night. Good times.

Meet Jeff Holt, we are sure we have met before this deployment, but can't figure out how. Anyone have a clue for us??

Hey~ yesterday was crazy. I drank water Thursday night but not enough. We woke-up at 0315, got ready and headed to the range around 0400. I can not shoot an M16A2 therefore I was on the zeroing range for 3 hours drying out. I drank water, bottles of it, but failed to hydrate enough the night before and before I knew it I was no longer sweating and I got stuck with an IV. Heat casualty. Sucked 3 bags dry, had 2 bottles of water and one gatorade while I was trying to feel better. Needless to say I learned that no matter how much you think you are ok you really are not. Had a headache all day that lasted through the night and is still with me. I went to bed at 2000 and tried to sleep for 12 hours, but I was restless all night. That will teach me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jessica, the big 23! I completely forgot, sorry.
Today we cleaned weapons, had a squad meeting, I have another meeting at 1300 and 1700 so for now that is all. Hope you all have a great weekend!!! LOVE YOU!

Chubby Bunny: object is to see how many big marshmallows you can fit in your mouth and still say "Chubby Bunny". Records: Albrecht-13, Petersen-4, Me-6. Albrecht cheats and lets them melt a little before adding more, but hey I got two in and the gag reflexes started.

Albrecht's make-over, isn't she cute? We cut off 4 inches, gave her a side part, little make-up and viola we have a cutie.

BIG Grave Digger fan... if you don't know who that is you can't be my friend, just kidding. It's a Monster Truck and I LOVE it.

So I attempted some Mary Kay look and... lipstick is not right, gloss is better. Oh and if you didn't notice I cut my bangs again and I look like my mom.

Hey! BIG HAPPY 30th ANNIVERSARY to my parents yesterday. I LOVE YOU!
In other news it was 126 today!!! Dry heat or course, thank the lord because the last few days have been SOOOOOOO humid. Oh the A/C is back on. way too much but I can't complain because you can put more clothes on than you can take off. We are trying to get some rain here but it makes an attempt to rain and then stops.
I am still working on getting new pics on here, the computer has been terrible the last few days.
Tomorrow Group 1 gets up at 0300 to get weapons and head to the qualify range, GOOD LUCK GUYS! I go on Friday, it's going to be a HOT LONG day.
Got my new chrome pink and black adidas in the mail tonight, very excited to wear them and then they got dirty in 5min. oh well they are still some tight kicks.

Sunday... had a short briefing this morning at 0900 then chilled out because it was sooooo hot already at that time. Went to mass at 1200 and then to the pool, but the sun seemed to turn off once I got there. Oh well I still took a nap and jumped on for a bit. Not a whole lot going on. Last night was country night, had a good time. The other night thurs/fri I can't remember anyways Petersen, Albrecht and I had a little "Chubby Bunny" contest with big marshmallows. It was a fun times and once my camera battery charges I will post the pics. Hope all is well with everyone else. I got to see my nephews on the webcam the other day too. Oh they are soooo cute. Joey is getting smarter by the minute. I miss the little guy, can't wait to get home and spoil them! Have a GREAT day!

Friday the 13th!

Hey everyone... It's Friday the 13th! My Lucky # and lucky day. Jesus was the 13th apostle (although some would argue he was the 14th but that's besides the point) and all with him is good so today is good. Unless of course you have Triscadecaphobia, then lock yourself inside until the day is over.
I did not have to work this morning so I went for my AM lap swim only to pull a muscle after 20min. Next time I will stretch out. Then at 0830 we had a 1SG meeting that lasted 2 hours. It was a good meeting, unfortunately the way some people perceive our females sucks. One tiny drop can cause a HUGE ripple affect. A VERY arrogant a$$hole that can't get none from anyone has been telling people we are whores. strong word... that just fumes all of us. I am afraid to talk to anyone now. I am going to be judging trying to figure out who said it. Why are people like that? why do they have to bring others down to feel good about themselves?? Being a female is hard enough then to be one in the military is worse. no respect I tell you... I just hope that people will be courageous enough to get to know us before they judge. God and I know who I am and that's all that matters. If someone else thinks otherwise then they can be condemned to hell.
